I needed to reload my iPad for an unrelated issue. I knew I would lose my info though if I did not export the info. So I exported it into a csv file. I then reloaded the iPad and added the csv file to the iPad through iTunes. It appears that Checkbook will not allow me to restore this export because it is a csv file. What am I supposed to do now?

I recently bought the checkbook app to run on my wp 7. Now I see that the app is really designed for the I's. OK! regardless, It runs ok on my phone and I was excited because it looks and works fine. That is until I gave it the old test run and sent the data to the DROPBOX, which in turn opens in EXCEL. Great so far. Now here's the killer!
In excel, all the information is in column "A". There are no totals and everything is so crammed. What am I missing? If I can't have this information separated, (in the proper columns) and ready for printing, it is absolutely useless. I may as well do it manually. I thought the CSV format stands for COMMA SEPARATED VALUES. Please what am I missing, the I phone?

Hello! I love your software and I am a paid user. I would just like to ask if there is really no Class column for the csv export. Could we have this in future updates? This is the way I classify my accounts and it would really be useful. Thanks!

Hi Developers,

I think Money is a great app for tracking my income and expenses. Actually I have tried different app on app store and have finally filter out 2 finalists - Money 5 or another app starting with "L".

For Money 5, there are already many suggestions by other users such as "template function", "one transactions with different categories and accounts", Report improvement, etc.

And now I would like to propose a very very simple change in user interface:

Can we have a total sum of expenses (and/or income) for the selected dates in the "Transaction" tab?

For instance, when I select 01 Mar in calendar, it would be best to show the total expenses I spent on that date. When I select multiple dates in calendar, it would show the total for each days.

This would allow us to easily tracking how much I spent everyday in the selected period in the app and no need to generate a report or export to HTML.

I believe this is a quite simple suggestion, and should be easy to implement. Hope you would consider this in your next update. Thanks.

Regards,
Customer

Hello Everyone

I just bought this app and I find it very useful and complete. Anyway I am finding it very hard to convert my bank statements (CSV) to OFX. I am using a excel macro I found via Google that works good allowing me to configure transaction type as expense or credit, date, currency and agent. The only problem is that I cant configure the category of each transaction, and therefore I have to manually select one from my phone.

I there any way someone would help me change the visualbasic code of the macro in order to add a "Category column". Let me know IF I can post the excel file here.

Since Transactiontype bug is still present when using an old db, I tried to export my profile to CSV.

Here we have a bug: when saving file from web browser, app on iphone will crash and exit.

Another small issue with CSV: first entry in temporary order is reported 2 times in CSV.

One more thing I would like to know: is there or will there be a way to import data from CSV?

Thanks
