Yes, we had two options of doing it, one was sticking to calendar days, and the other one to arithmetic calculations. As you see, we've chosen the latter, but that possibly will be reconsidered.

I thought of that shortly after I posted my query. It will do, although it's not quite right. Mostly because of the way end of month dates are handled. If I schedule it for the 31st, it will go on the 1st of the following month if the month only has 30 days. I assume same for February (posted on the 3rd?).

But close enough. Thanks.

Hello. In this case you need to set up two automatic monthly transactions, each on a specific date so that they could repeat those same dates each month. (I would recommend you to use the bi-weekly option, but that will not give you specific dates).

I have just started using Money 4.0 today, and am having a bit of trouble using custom periods with automatic transactions. In my case I want to add a transaction that's automatically entered twice a month. So I select "monthly" for the period, and set the custom quantity to 2. This shows as "2 x monthly" in the template setup, but what it actually does, is schedule the transaction (in the Planned transactions list) every two months, not twice a month. I'd like it to occur on the 15th and the last day of the month (my pay days, basically), but see no way to do this. Am I missing something?

Thank you.
