I have worked with the budget tab a fair bit trying to adjust to how the new version lays things out, and I must say it is MUCH better than I originally thought.
However I find that there is One key feature that it needs added back to make it complete:
When you look at your budget tab, you can set your custom view to whatever you like. For me thats a biweekly budget that starts on a specific date (A friday) and turns to a new budget two weeks later. When I look at a category in budget and I get the lovely new graph, it does not go by that custom period. I have added in budgets but then when I am looking at the main budget the numbers don't add up just right. I am not looking to plan day by day but two weeks at a time.
So the only option that really needs to be added, is a start date when you choose your period for the budget. So I can choose "Period: 2x Weekly" and a starting date for that period of March 12, 2010. That would make everything come in to line. If i had a single yearly transaction, I could just make a budget for the pay period it comes out and everything would work. Same with monthly. So really we want weekly, monthly yearly just like you have it but with the ability to set when those periods start, not just being restricted to sunday or the first of the month/year.
