I too would like to use an Excel / CSV importer.
I come from a Finance Application of Windows Mobile and I would like to import two years of transactions. It exports the following formats: QIF, CSV, EXCEL, OFX, QFX, but iBearMoney is unable to import any of these formats!

Dear iBear,
First of all I have been using your money version for iPod for quite some time now and I really like the functionalities, the look and feel and relative ease of use.
As many others I have gained control of an iPad. There are two things stopping me to buy your iPad version of money. The critical one is that importing transaction seems to be a struggle. From the fact you qualified CSV import functionality as critical, but after 8 months haven't delivered isn't promising. The non-critical one is that I prefer the look and feel of the iPod version way over the poop colour of the iPad version.
Let me know when you've solved the import stuff and I'm your buyer on iPad.
Kind regards,
FKnol

Akhat... or WHOEVER is representing iBear...
here we are 15 MONTHS later, after you identified this item as a high priority. OFX is still the only import method for Money. My bank only exports two CSV and QIF, so either of those would be acceptable.
Why is this such a challenge? You tell people not to seek their own methods because it could be dangerous and that this is a high priority task with an update in the future, but then 15 months later have done nothing about it. You have been releasing regular updates periodically, as well as a MAJOR upgrade 5 months ago... but no word of CSV import.
What is the latest status report?

I can't import data from my bank into Money without a .csv option.
My bank has no intention of adding .ofx export.
Please make a .csv import option a more urgent priority than High Priority. :-)
If nothing else, it will provide you relief from Money customers bothering you for months and now a year.
Perhaps deny your developer food and water, or deny his or her pay, or pay more. Or hire a new developer.Posted 12 months ago # -
This task is of high priority, we will release it in one of our next updates.

It's pretty important to develop ASAP this capabity in iBear Money 5.0
There are plenty customers that are thinking migrating to another app since you show no really interest in this upgrade.
If you can't afford all the work for the price of the app. Let us know it, but do not tell us that it's already in the schedule as a High Priority Issue.
Just release another app with another new price and so you could afford it.Your actual app is really great with all the capabilities it has, but lack of other very important one.

I agree it is pretty poor form to identify an item as being a high priority and still not resolving the issue 1 and a half years later... iBear has told users not to try their own methods of conversion that could corrupt their data, and that an update will be issued soon. Well many updates have been issued and still no CSV import. Such a simple thing shouldn't be that difficult to implement. Money will be coming out for Mac and STILL no release of this "high priority" detail.

will this finally happen in the next update with iCloud?

Yes, it will.

does this mean I will be able to transfer old data that I have from your Budgets app into the Money app? (by exporting by CSV and importing by CSV)
