   Hello,

   I'm having an issue when trying to edit budgets. I have budget data for the whole year, but sometimes I need to do adjustments on a specific month (without changing the values for the upcoming months). When I change the values from a category, all values for the months after the one edited become zero.

   An example: I have entered a budget of $15 for the "App Store purchases" category, monthly from January to December 2010. For this month only, I decided to increase the budget to $20. To do that I go to the budget screen, enter the category, select the month using the graph and press edit. Then the screen shows the current budget ($15) and the current period (06/01/2010 to 06/30/2010). If I change the budget to $20 and save, the message saying that the change might affect the current budget appears. I click 'OK' and then the budget graph screen for the category is shown. The budget for June is now $20, but for the months after June (July to December) the budget becomes $0.

   I don't remember when I started noticing this, but I know that in previous versions this issue didn't occur. I could change only one month and the others weren't affected. Is this the expected behavior?

   We tried to reproduce the issue, but it did not behave in such a way. Anyway, there are several ways of how you can do it, but please try the following (which is the simplest one): create a new budget entry from the current month, and make the end date blank. Now try to change other periods. Everything should be fine in this case.

   I tried to do it the way you said, but when I leave the end date blank, budget data is created for all months after the current and for all years (not only 2010, but 2011, 2012 and so on). If I edit one month and leave the end date blank, the same happens: the values are repeated for all subsequent months.

   Yes, this is the way it works. You do not need to worry that the budget is 'endless'. When you decide to close the entry, you will add an end date, and it will be closed. This is the best way to work with budget. Otherwise, the application thinks that you want to recalculate all the budget.
