I am able to get the datafile from my bank, but then cannot connect to the server 10.0.0.6 - it just says safari cannot connect to the server or the URL can't be shown I am supposed to connect to the server on my PC not iPad right? anyway still stuck on square 1...

You need to use a desktop browser, not the iPad's browser. Please also make sure to check your Wi Fi connection and settings and it is sometimes necessary to reload the page several times.
